BIDBID.CA — TERMS & CONDITIONS

These Terms govern your use of the BidBid.ca website, auctions, and services.
By using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Platform.
1. ELIGIBILITY
1.1 You must be 18 years or older to register, bid, or purchase.
1.2 You must provide accurate and complete account information.
1.3 Government-issued ID may be required for verification.
2. ACCOUNT RESPONSIBILITY
2.1 You are responsible for keeping your login information secure.
2.2 All actions taken under your account are your responsibility.
2.3 BidBid may suspend or terminate accounts for suspected fraud, repeated non-payment, abusive behavior, policy violations, or attempts to bypass rules.
3. BIDDING RULES
3.1 All bids are final, binding, and cannot be cancelled.
3.2 If you are the highest bidder at auction close, you must pay the full amount owed.
3.3 Bid errors or misunderstandings do not remove payment obligations.
3.4 Fraud, bid manipulation, or unauthorized automated bidding is prohibited.
4. PAYMENT POLICY
4.1 Payment Deadline
Payment must be completed within 7 days of auction close.
4.2 Accepted Payment Methods

Cash (only for approved Loyalty Customers)
4.3 Loyalty Customer Requirement for Cash Payments
Cash payments allowed only if the user:
a) Completed at least 7 BidBid auction events.
b) Has no unpaid invoices or policy violations.
c) Has no chargebacks.
d) Has been approved for cash-payment privileges.
BidBid may revoke cash privileges.
4.4 Taxes
All prices are in CAD. Taxes apply based on province.
4.5 Late or Unpaid Invoices
Unpaid invoices may result in account suspension, cancellation of wins, item relisting, and collection actions.
5. PICKUP POLICY
5.1 Items must be picked up within the pickup timeframe shown on each auction event page.
5.2 Government-issued photo ID may be required.
5.3 You may authorize another person to pick up your items.
5.4 Items not picked up by the deadline may be considered abandoned and resold or disposed of.
5.5 No refunds for abandoned items.
5.6 Pickup instructions and store hours appear on the event page, the invoice/Won Items page, or at the top of the item page when clicking the item title.
6. SHIPPING POLICY
6.1 Items are pickup-by-default. Shipping is only available when explicitly offered.
6.2 Individual shipping to home is eligible only if the invoice total is $150 or more before tax.
6.3 Shipping fees follow Canada Post or other carriers and are paid by the customer.
6.4 Heavy or oversized items may require extra fees or may not be eligible.
6.5 Delivery timelines are estimates only.
6.6 BidBid is not liable for delays or losses once a carrier accepts the shipment.
6.7 Internal inter-store shipping/transfer requests must be submitted after the event closes to the destination store and may include additional transfer fees.
6.8 Internal transfers are processed every following Monday after the auction closes.
7. ITEM CONDITIONS
7.1 Seller Stores list items with condition labels to the best of their ability.
7.2 Main condition types include:

Like New

Lightly Used

Used

Near Best Before (Near BB)

Past Best Before (Past BB)
7.3 Additional labels may include:

As-Is
-
Final Sale
-
Untested
-
Damaged
-
For Parts
7.4 Items listed as As-Is, Final Sale, Untested, or Past BB are final sale with no warranty and no returns.
7.5 Condition definitions may vary between Seller Stores.
7.6 MSRP or external links are for reference only and not guaranteed.
8. RETURNS & CLAIMS
8.1 Returns are accepted only if:

Item is significantly not as described
-
Major defects were not disclosed
-
Essential parts were missing and not noted
8.2 Claims must be submitted within 7 days of pickup with photo or video evidence.
8.3 Items must be returned in the same condition received.
8.4 Seller Stores review claims and decide approval or denial.
8.5 As-Is, Final Sale, Untested, or Past BB items cannot be returned.
9. CUSTOMER CONDUCT
Users must not:

Harass or threaten staff or Seller Stores
-
Disrupt pickup operations
-
Attempt off-platform purchases
-
Engage in fraud
-
Violate platform rules
BidBid may suspend or terminate accounts for misconduct.
10. PLATFORM USE
10.1 The Platform may undergo updates or outages.
10.2 Users may not:

Hack or bypass security
-
Scrape data
-
Reverse-engineer the Platform
-
Use bots or automation without permission
11. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
11.1 All code, branding, images, and content belong to BidBid.
11.2 Users may not copy or distribute content without permission.
12. PRIVACY
12.1 BidBid collects personal information required to operate the Platform.
12.2 May include name, email, phone, address, payment details, device information, and bidding activity.
12.3 BidBid does not sell user data.
12.4 Québec users retain all rights under the Act Respecting the Protection of Personal Information.

13. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
BidBid is not responsible for:

Loss of profits
-
Carrier delays
-
Pickup-site accidents
-
Listing inaccuracies provided by Seller Stores

System outages
-
Miscommunication between users and Seller Stores
Maximum liability is limited to the amount paid for the disputed item.
Québec consumers may have additional rights.
14. INDEMNIFICATION
You agree to indemnify BidBid for claims arising from:

Misuse of the Platform
-
Violating these Terms
-
Pickup incidents
-
Fraud or negligence
15. TERMINATION
BidBid may suspend or terminate accounts for repeated non-payment, chargebacks, abusive conduct, fraud, policy violations, or off-platform solicitation.
Users may request account closure at any time.
16. MODIFICATIONS TO TERMS
Terms may be updated at any time.
Revised Terms are effective immediately upon posting.
Continued use means acceptance.
17. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms follow:

Laws of Ontario and Canadian common-law provinces

Civil Code of Québec where applicable

19. SELLER STORES (PARTNER STORES)
19.1 Many items are listed by independent Seller Stores.
19.2 Seller Stores are independent businesses.
19.3 They are responsible for their storage, pickup, and customer service.
20. CUSTOMER AWARENESS OF SELLER STORE
20.1 By bidding, you acknowledge an item may come from a specific Seller Store.
20.2 Pickup must occur at that Seller Store unless shipping is available.
21. COMMUNICATION WITH SELLER STORES
21.1 Customers must contact the Seller Store directly for:

Item questions

Pickup scheduling
-
Refund requests
-
Return processing
-
Product issues
21.2 Seller Stores are authorized to approve/deny refunds, manage returns, decide product outcomes, and communicate with customers.
21.3 admin@bidbid.ca is for:

Seller-to-BidBid communication
-
Policy escalations
-
Violations
-
Administrative matters
Customers must not use this email for item issues.
22. LIABILITY OF SELLER STORES
Seller Stores are responsible for accurate descriptions, safe pickup conditions, proper storage, customer service, and refund decisions.
BidBid is not liable for losses caused by Seller Store operations.
23. NO SIDE DEALS (OFF-PLATFORM TRANSACTIONS)
Customers may not contact Seller Stores to negotiate prices, buy off-platform, avoid fees, or arrange private deals.
Violations may result in permanent suspension.
24. DISPUTE RESOLUTION
If a customer and Seller Store cannot resolve an issue, it may be escalated to admin@bidbid.ca.
BidBid may request evidence and intervene if necessary.
BidBid’s decision is final.
